What is SEED?

SEED – Scientists to Entrepreneurs, Education and Development, is a life sciences
and healthcare business plan competition created to develop and foster a community
of scientists, healthcare professionals and entrepreneurs and create a platform
for commercialization of life sciences and healthcare innovation in China. Created
by Roche, OrbiMed and McKinsey , SEED will provide aspiring entrepreneurs with coaching
and feedback from the leading players in China’s investment community and healthcare
industry. The top prize will be over RMB 300,000.
2009 is the inaugural year for the SEED competition. We are partnering with leading universities, institutes, biotech start-ups and supporting organizations across China to meet tomorrow’s entrepreneurs across life sciences disciplines and sectors. We have an open minded attitude towards competition entries and are looking for innovative ideas with sound business rationale and planning. Throughout the competition, we will support capability building of the entrants through a series of workshops, coaching sessions, feedback on submitted plans and networking events with investment community professionals. |
